Rising to the west of the village of Tyndrum, flowing 160km to enter the tidal estuary at the City of Perth, this mighty system covers 6,475 square km. Fishing for the freshwater species within this system is covered by a Protection Order and managed by The Tay Liaison Committee.

This site brings you information about the River Tay System, some of its tributaries, angling information, species and where to buy permits. It will also help to explain the protection order, why it was introduced, and the work of the Tay Liaison Committee in monitoring the access agreements and methods of fishing.
