River Fillan

River Fillan

The River Fillan enters Loch Dochart through a deep channel which has muddy shallows and sharp banks which are to be negotiated with care. The Reed growth make stalking fun but as the river reaches the Loch the slow moving current gives the anglers an added challenge. Generally most of the river has good gravel and very clear water, but as it nears it's end the clarity lessens with sediment. Permits and advice from The Rod and Reel and The Ben More.
