River Cononish - Tyndrum

River Cononish

The River Cononish has few long holding pools and there are pockets of spawning gravel for both Brown Trout and Migratory Salmon along the fishable length of the River. Wading is safe in most holding areas and above the road bridge it is worth while fishing a dry up stream fly on a short cast under the trees. The rocky pools above the White Bridge are worth exploring as is the main tributary, the Clifton Burn. Permits from The Green Wellie Shop Tyndrum.
