Looking South West
The Village of Lawers marks the Eastern Boundary of West Loch Tay. Looking towards the South the shore is steeper and not so easily accessed and with a result the water is much deeper close to the shore and more suited to being fished from a boat. However there are tracks to some of the old house ruins which can be used for pedestrian access to the loch shore. The road down from Lawers Farm to the North shore is not suitable for normal vehicles. Being farming country live stock are in the fields and care must be taken in not disturbing them, particularly when young stock is around.
