As the Tay passes below the road bridge, access is best from the South bank on the narrow road through Balnagard to join the A9 at the Jubilee Bridge. The river at the top of this section is swifter flowing with gravel banks and deep runs ideal water for the Brown Trout to hide in. The banks are tree lined for the most part but access can be found by following well defined paths. Perth and District Angling Club issues permits for sections of the various beats along with some Riparian Owners. Anglers must check the permit pages for details.
