The Golf Course
A deep medium flowing pool at the bottom of the Castle beat in sight of the first green of the Golf Course. The bank on the Castle side has warning notices on subsidence so great care must be exercised. The pool is best fished from the far bank which requires a long walk down the track then back up stream to the pebble beach, but it is well worth the effort. If the fish are not feeding then just sit and enjoy your own snack and admire one of the most scenic pools on the whole river. The Brown Trout can either splash wildly at the fly or suck gently, either way they are a great challenge to the angler.
