Stronuich Looking North

Stronuich
Looking North

The Stronuich Dam straddles the River Lyon and has a low wall structure sufficient to hold water for pumping through to the Glen Lochay Power Stations and feeding the smaller local generating plant. The banks are clear of any obstruction and this makes it ideal for long casts when conditions allow. Anglers must be aware of soft marshy areas where burns enter the main body of water. Good size Brown Trout can be caught right up to the end of September. Permits from the Game Keeper's Cottage.
