Loch Lyon

Loch Lyon

At the head of one of the most scenice Glens in Scotland is Loch Lyon or strictly speaking 'The Loch Lyon Dam' Built as part of the Hydro Complex in the mid 1950s, this is one of two main storage reservoirs in the glen, the other being Lochan na Damph. The Brown Trout are fickle and when on the feed can give good sport, but the further the angler ventures away from the Dam Wall, the better the fishing can be as the water close to the shore shallows and the many inlets are worth exploring with a traditional team of wet flys. Permits can be obtained by calling Graham Roy.
